  1. Automatic Temperature Compensation Technology Solves Battery Charging Problems

    For the first time ever an inverter is technologically so advanced that it can sense the outside temperature and regulate the charging of batteries to charge them optimally. Equipped with ATC technology it protects your batteries from overcharging(by decreasing cut-off voltage) and undercharging(by increasing cut-off voltage). It is guaranteed to keep your batteries 100% charged and prolong battery life by 6 months while lowering your electricity bill.

    Su-Kam is the only company in India to use ATC technology in inverters. No existing microprocessor in inverters could take the ATC software so we have used 4th generation microprocessor which is the same as in smartphones and tablets. Falcon+ is surely a smart inverter and the only one to have ATC.

    Why is ATC important and How Temperature Effects Charging of Batteries

    Aren’t you tired of leaking batteries, batteries that need frequent water topping, batteries that don’t give indicated backup even when you fully charge them? Don’t curse your batteries – the real fault lies in your inverter. Remember, it is the inverter that is responsible for charging your batteries – ordinary inverters undercharge or overcharge the batteries and that is where the problems begin.

    Ordinary inverter can’t sense the outside temperature so it charges the batteries based on factory set voltage. For example, ordinary inverters are made to build battery’s voltage for up to 14.4 v only (in the case of tubular batteries) because that’s how much they need to get fully charged given that the temperature is 25 degrees Celsius. However the battery needs different voltage at different temperature. The acid in the battery behaves like any other liquid – expands when it is hot and contracts when it is cold. When it expands, it needs less cut-off voltage to get fully charged and needs more voltage during cold temperature as it is in its contracted state.

    If the outside temperature is 35-40 degrees then the cut off voltage should be only 14.13 but inverters keep charging the battery up to 14.4 because they don’t have the technology to sense temperature. This overcharges the battery and causes it to release harmful fumes, the waters evaporates and you need frequent water topping. In extreme cases the battery may bulge or blast putting your lives in danger.

    If the temperature is 0-10 degrees then the cut off voltage should be more – approx 14.85 but if inverters give factory set voltage of 14.4 then the battery remain undercharged. It gives less backup and after some time never gets 100% charged resulting in huge inconvenience and losses to you.

    Falcon+ with ATC Technology Fully Charges Batteries in all Seasons. It comes with a Remote Battery Temperature Sensor (RTS). The RTS wire remains in contact with the batteries to continuously sense the temperature. Based on outside temperature, the advanced microprocessor in falcon + increases the cut-off voltage when temperature is high and decreases when it is low to ensure that batteries are 100% charged. It also decreases your electricity bill during summers as it consumes less power from the mains to build a voltage of less voltage to fully charge the batteries.

    Falcon+ is the only inverter that gives you an option to use it with a battery as small as 18Ah if you need a backup of 5-10 minutes or with a big battery of 180Ah if you need more. It comes with a dip switch which can be adjusted to high or low current settings to be used with batteries of any size from 18Ah to 180 Ah to give you any backup time you like – 10 minutes or 10 hours. Earlier you had to spend money on an expensive big battery even though you needed a backup of just 5 minutes.

    Instead of spending Rs.16000 on buying separate small UPS for 8 desktop computers (as each UPS costs at least Rs.8000) you get falcon+ and a small battery for just Rs.8000 which can even run your other load such as fans, lights etc. Congratulations on saving 50%!

    Why People are Forced to Buy Big Batteries when Inverters are Used with Generators

    Usually shops inside shopping malls, restaurants, and houses in residential appartment complexes get power backup through generators but generators can never give instant power backup. It takes a minimum of 15-30 seconds for the generator to come on during powercuts.

    Imagine! These few seconds can cause big problems when the CCTV doesn’t work in a shop or when billing suddenly stops as systems reboot, or when you are booking a flight ticket online and modems reboot. To ensure instant power backup a UPS has to be used for a short period of time till the generator takes over.

    In above circumstances people were always forced to spend money on buying big capacity batteries as no inverter could operate on a small battery – surprisingly batteries are more expensive than the inverter.   3. Automatic Bypass Solves the Problem of Fault in Inverter

    Falcon+ is designed to bypass itself to give you power even when it is not working.

    When inverters are installed in houses the main power supply is drawn through the inverter so when the inverter doesn’t function (due to some fault) you do not get power even though the main supply is available. In such cases you are dependent on an electrician for help with the wiring but Falcon+ comes with Automatic Bypass – it automatically lets you have power from the mains till it gets repaired.

  4. Resettable Fuse Solves the Problem of Fixing Blown Fuses

    In times of overload Falcon+ will beep 8 times and reset itself (with push of a button) when extra load is switched off. Ordinary inverters have fuses which blow during overload.   5. Low Voltage Disconnect Solves the Problem of Battery Backup

    Falcon+ is the only UPS which lets you choose the level of battery reserve. It comes with a dip switch – choose 10.5v if you want to extract maximum backup from the battery or choose 11v if you want to keep extra reserve and prolong battery life. More reserve = more battery life and efficiency

    Ordinary inverters cut off when the battery hits a dangerous level of 9.5 or 10v but flacon + disconnects after 10.5v saving the life of your battery.

  6. 90v Charging Solves the Problem of Undercharging of Batteries in Low Voltage Areas

    Falcon+’s advanced charger will fully charge the batteries even when the voltage is as low as 85-90V. This is a boon for villages and small towns which get low voltage and frequent powercuts.

    Instead of charging the batteries, ordinary inverters go on battery backup mode when voltage falls below 140v. As the inverter has already drained the battery, people are forced to live in dark during real powercut.

  7. High Crest Factor Solves the Problem of Running Big Refrigerators or AC

    Falcon+ has a crest factor of 5:1 which means that it is capable of taking 5 times more peak current than its mentioned capacity. You can easily run AC and latest 190 liter refrigerator on it. Ordinary inverters have a crest factor of only 3:1 i.e they can take only 3 times peak current.
